FAA APPROVED

Part 107 Certified / Section 333 Exempt

Glide Aerials is proud to be one of the chosen companies in the U.S. that is FAA Compliant with the Section Part 107 Waiver/333 Exemption and are fully Insured. We have met all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements to commercially operate an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), or “drone.”

What this Part 107 Waiver means for Glide Aerials

In North America all commercial drone use requires a Part 107 Waiver and registered equipment. Glide has gone through this process with the FAA to obtain this waiver. We are fully insured so our pilots and cinematographers are able to give your production the best possible protection and permitting abilities. Glide Aerials is ready to serve you worldwide and is familiar with drone regulations governing many different areas. We have operated in over 30 countries with zero incidents, safety being our number one concern for all shoots.

NOTE: Certain more complex productions might require special permitting which can take up to 90 days to process, e.g. sporting events, downtown areas, areas close to airports or national parks.

What this 333 Exemption means for Glide Aerials

As the Part 107 is a much easier route and is used in the majority of North America now,  some locations still have not adapted to this waiver as it was just established in August 29th, 2016. In this case, you would need The Section 333 exemption which mandates commercial drone pilots to hold an FAA Pilots License in at least a Sport Category insuring that all flights will be conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Glide has gone through this lengthy process with the FAA to obtain our exemption. We also hold a Closed Set Filming Permit for motion pictures, commercials, and television as well as a Blanket COA for all operations under 400 feet.

NOTE: Certain more complex productions might require special permitting which can take up to 90 days to process, e.g. sporting events, downtown areas, areas close to airports or national parks.
